Vicki Traylor, MFT--Philosophy

My underlying theoretical orientation is Jungian , but I find that working with different personalities requires a wide range of clinical techniques. Depending on the situation and the individual involved I may use Dreamwork, Cognitive Restructuring, some variety of family therapy and communication training, or some form of Gestalt work. My hope is to help each client discover the tools that will allow them to heal themselves and achieve their goals in a safe and confidential environment.

Willingness is the key to any change. I find that when people truly want something about their life to be different they find the means and the courage to make it happen. My clients usually know where they want to go but not necesarily how to get there. My job is to help them find their way.
